Privacy Policy

1. Introduction
Pick2Watch is a mobile app that helps you discover movies and TV shows. Pick2Watch is developed by Mustafa Turan (Türkiye). By using the app you accept this privacy policy. You can use the app without an account; signing in is only required to save your Watchlist and your ratings.
2. Data We Collect
Account information (only if you sign in): Your name and email address as provided by Apple or Google. If you choose "Hide My Email" with Apple, we only receive the relay address Apple generates.
Your Watchlist and ratings: Stored and linked to your account.
Series progress: The next season and episode, together with your watching status, is stored with your account for series you track.
Preferences kept on your device: Theme, language, region, your "Hide from suggestions" selections and whether you've seen the intro are stored on your device and are not kept as a profile on our own servers. However, the values needed to fulfil your request (for example language, region and the genres to hide from suggestions) may be sent to our service providers (Supabase, TMDB) as part of the relevant content requests.
Advertising data: Your device's advertising identifier, approximate location based on your IP address, and in-app interaction data.
Technical records: When fetching movie and TV data, your IP address and the search terms you enter may be visible to our service providers as short-term operational records. We do not store these queries permanently on our own servers and we do not run our own analytics or tracking system.
3. Why We Process It
We process account and list data to provide the service and make your list available across your devices; advertising data to keep the app free; technical records for security and abuse prevention. We use your ratings (like / dislike) to arrange your in-app recommendation ranking; you can manage this in the Personalization settings. We do not use these signals to build an advertising profile or for marketing.
4. Storage and Security
Your account and list data are stored on Supabase infrastructure, on servers located in the European Union. Your data is encrypted in transit and is accessible only to you.
When you delete your account, your account, Watchlist and ratings are permanently deleted. When you delete your account, your series progress is also permanently deleted. You can do this yourself in the app via Profile → Delete account. Technical records held by our service providers remain for the duration set in their own retention policies.
5. Third-Party Services
- Supabase — hosting and authentication (European Union).
- Apple and Google — sign-in providers.
- Google AdMob — advertising.
- TMDB — movie and TV data; no personal data of yours is sent to TMDB.
- Cloudflare — website hosting.
We do not sell your data.
6. Advertising and Permissions
The app shows Google AdMob ads. On iOS you'll be asked for tracking permission; if you allow it, ads are personalised, if you decline, you'll see non-personalised ads and the app remains fully functional.
You can change your ad consent any time via Settings → Privacy options. For the iOS tracking permission: iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, object to the processing of, and port your data (under GDPR and Türkiye's KVKK). You can delete your account and all your data yourself in the app; for anything else, write to us.
8. Children's Privacy
Pick2Watch is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
9. Changes
If we update this policy we will change the "last updated" date on this page.
